Leonard H. Bucklin is the original author of Civil Practice of North Dakota, first published in 1975. Bucklin is a 1957 graduate of the University of Minnesota School of Law. He has been certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy and has been selected as a Fellow of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He has served on numerous law related committees during his prestigious career, including the Advisory Committee on Trial Procedure of the North Dakota Supreme Court. Bucklin is also a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, which is limited to attorneys who have won million dollar and multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements. Bucklin is A Of Counsel@ to Bucklin, Klemin & McBride, P.C., of Bismarck North Dakota, and resides in Arizona.


Lawrence R. Klemin is the author and editor of the Second Edition of Civil Practice of North Dakota. Klemin, a 1978 graduate of the University of North Dakota School of Law (Juris Doctor with Distinction), is a lawyer with Bucklin, Klemin & McBride, P.C., a law firm in Bismarck, North Dakota. He has served on many law related committees and in numerous advisory capacities, including the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws (E-Discovery Drafting Committee, DNA Study Committee, Notarial Acts Study Committee), Criminal Justice Committee of the National Conference of State Legislatures, Chair of the Administrative Law Committee of the State Bar Association of North Dakota, and State Advisory Council for the North Dakota Office of Administrative Hearings.
